Many people today think so. Do you? Perhaps, like many, you were taught to think that way from your youth up but never really questioned the idea. The Bible has a consistent message. The Bible is made up of 66 individual books written down by a variety of people. There is no other book in the world written down by so many different authors spread over a period of 1, years that has such a consistent message.

How can I believe the Bible in light of what science tells us. I recently went with my family to see the fossilized remains of some dinosaur tracks and bones. I was impressed with what I saw, but I also went away feeling troubled.

These tracks and bones, which are said to be millions of years old, are obviously very real. Don't they contradict the scriptural account of the world's creation. Millions of years, it is claimed, were required for the evolution of the earth from chaos; and in order to accommodate the Bible to this supposed revelation of science, the days of creation are assumed to have been vast, indefinite periods, covering thousands or even millions of years.

Now, I’m glad the Bible’s not a textbook of science like those used in public schools, because it would change all the time. Many ideas have come and gone. For example, most of the evolutionary beliefs used by scientists in the transcript of the Scopes Trial have been abandoned—but God’s Word remains the : Ken Ham.

[3] Greenwood’s new book, Scripture and Cosmology: Reading the Bible Between the Ancient World and Modern Science, is an amazing resource on the fascinating pre-modern context in which the Bible was written. Greenwood explains how understanding this context—”ancient science” and all—actually aids us in applying God’s Word faithfully.

Yes, for although the Bible is not a science textbook, it is accurate when it mentions matters of science. Consider some examples showing that science and the Bible agree and that the Bible contains scientific facts that differed greatly from the beliefs of many people living at the time it was written.

Man's science promotes evolution, global warming/climate change, and gender neutrality. The bible perfectly describes, sometimes in detail, God's creation. So maybe its not a science textbook according to man's standards, but a textbook it surely is on His creation and life itself.

It is a part of Evidence Bible, a website and book related to Ray Comfort's Way of the Master website. Science Confirms the Bible also has a part in Scientific Facts in the Bible which mostly rehashes the same arguments but in a more mundane manner.

The somewhat bizarre claims are reproduced below before being roundly rebutted. 1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there. 2 And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to-night of the children of Israel to search out the country.
